This Privacy Policy is issued by AMANSHI TECH PRIVATE LIMITED, the owner and operator of nxtbills.com (“NxtBills”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). It sets out how we collect, process, store, and protect personal information when you use our digital bill payment platform.

We are committed to safeguarding your privacy in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and all other applicable laws and regulations in India.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your NxtBills account and authenticate your identity
  • Process bill payment and recharge transactions on your behalf
  • Facilitate settlement and reconciliation with billers through the BBPS network
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and unauthorised access
  • Send transaction confirmations, payment receipts, and service alerts
  • Respond to customer support queries and resolve disputes
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
  • Improve platform performance and user experience through aggregate analytics

3. Sharing of Information

NxtBills does not sell your personal data to any third party. Information may be disclosed only in the following limited circumstances:

  • To NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL), the authorised BBPCU, as required for transaction routing, clearing, and settlement under the BBPS framework
  • To billers, biller aggregators, and sponsor banks as necessary to complete payment transactions
  • To authorised payment gateways and technology service providers certified under BBPS standards
  • To RBI, NPCI, law enforcement agencies, or other regulatory authorities upon a valid legal requirement or direction
  • To a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or corporate restructuring, with appropriate data protection obligations

4. Cookies and Session Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain login sessions, prevent fraud, and analyse platform usage. You may manage your cookie preferences through browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain platform features.

5. Data Retention

Transaction records and user data are retained for the period required under applicable law, including the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, and RBI guidelines. Data that is no longer required for legal or operational purposes will be securely deleted or anonymised.
