1. Nature of the Platform

NxtBills is a digital payment facilitation platform operating within the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) ecosystem, authorised and regulated by the Reserve Bank of India and administered by NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL). NxtBills acts solely as a facilitator for bill payments and recharge transactions between users and registered billers. NxtBills is NOT the biller and does not issue invoices on behalf of billers. All bills, dues, and recharge plans are generated, managed, and controlled exclusively by the respective billers or service providers.

2. User Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of India to use NxtBills
• You must possess a valid bank account, UPI ID, or other authorised payment instrument to initiate transactions
• All information provided during registration must be accurate, current, and complete
• The Company reserves the right to refuse service or suspend accounts where eligibility criteria are not met

3. BBPS Framework and Platform Role

NxtBills operates as a participant within the BBPS network under the regulatory framework established by RBI Master Direction (Bharat Bill Payment System) Directions, 2024. In this capacity:

• NxtBills provides the customer-facing interface for initiating bill payments and recharges through the BBPS network
• All transactions are routed through the BBPS infrastructure administered by NBBL
• NxtBills does not independently determine biller charges, late fees, or penalty amounts — these are set exclusively by the respective billers
• Transaction settlement is conducted in accordance with BBPS clearing and settlement procedures under NPCI oversight
• NxtBills shall not be liable for any failure or delay in bill payment resulting from biller-side issues, BBPS network downtime, or NPCI system maintenance

4. Invoice and Billing Responsibility

It is explicitly clarified that:

• All invoices, bills, and payment demands are raised by the respective billers or service providers — NOT by NxtBills
• NxtBills does not control, modify, or guarantee the accuracy of biller-generated dues or invoice amounts
• Any dispute regarding the amount billed, service charges, or invoice details must be raised directly with the respective biller
• NxtBills provides a transaction confirmation and reference number as proof of payment facilitation, which does not constitute an invoice from NxtBills

5. Supported Services

NxtBills currently facilitates the following payment categories through the BBPS network:

• Mobile prepaid and postpaid recharges
• DTH recharges and plan activations
• FASTag wallet recharges (NETC-compliant)
• Electricity, gas, and water utility bill payments
• Broadband and landline bill settlements
• Insurance premium payments
• Municipal taxes and government dues

The availability of specific billers or services may vary and is subject to their registration and active status on the BBPS network.

6. Payment Authorisation

• By initiating a payment on NxtBills, you authorise the Company to debit the specified amount from your selected payment instrument and route it to the intended biller through the BBPS network
• Once a payment instruction is submitted and confirmed, it cannot be reversed or cancelled
• You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all payment details including biller ID, account number, mobile number, or FASTag vehicle registration number before confirming any transaction
• NxtBills shall not be liable for payments made to incorrect biller accounts due to user error

7. Transaction Failures and Pending Payments

In the event of a transaction failure or timeout:

• Where money has been debited from your account but the transaction has not been confirmed as successful, the amount will be refunded to your source account within 5 to 7 business days, subject to bank and BBPS processing timelines
• Transaction status can be tracked using the BBPS Transaction Reference Number provided upon initiation
• For unresolved failures, users may raise a complaint through our grievance mechanism

8. Convenience Fees and Charges

NxtBills may levy a nominal convenience fee on certain transactions. Any applicable fee will be displayed clearly before you confirm a payment. We reserve the right to revise our fee structure with prior notice. Convenience fees, once charged on a completed transaction, are non-refundable.

9. Prohibited Conduct

• Using NxtBills for money laundering, fraudulent transactions, or any activity in violation of applicable law
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or exploit the platform or its APIs
• Providing false or misleading information during registration or in support communications
• Using another person's payment credentials without their explicit authorisation

10. Platform Availability

NxtBills strives to maintain continuous platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be unavailable during scheduled maintenance, BBPS network downtime, or circumstances beyond our control. We shall not be liable for any loss arising from temporary unavailability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AMANSHI TECH PRIVATE LIMITED shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from the use of NxtBills, including losses arising from biller-side errors, BBPS network failures, or incorrect payment details provided by users.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Gurugram, Haryana, India.
